I loved the Windows Phone UI but I absolutely hated the tiled menu on desktop. It was actually the main reason I left windows behind.

That seems unusually high, I’ve got a few graphical effects enabled and it’s just barely scratching 100MiB VRAM on my machine.

At least KDE has a shortcut in the Window Management settings that kills any window you want with a single click. You just press the key combination (Meta+Ctrl+Esc by default) and your cursor turns into a skull. Then just left click the frozen window and it closes instantly. Never had it fail, you can even kill your Desktop if you miss lol

I agree that this specific menu tree is utter insanity, but you can skip the first two menus by just right-clicking into the folder.

Have you tried MusicBrainz Picard? I think it should be able to do most of the things you need.

The onboarding being a bit difficult is a good thing IMO, it keeps the standards a bit higher and the Facebook boomers and TikTok children out. The internet was better when it wasn’t so easily accessible.
