I’ve used to for party planning with no federation, but really it’s meant more for events open to a more public audience thst you want to share that they exist to the public, even if the details are private. Just haven’t found a decent self-hosted app for party planning yet. I wish it was more mature, but it works ok most of the time and has the features I need, for example OIDC for my friends who use my other services so they don’t have yet another login.

Mobilizon is an open source software for event planning and group management, launched in October 2020[1] by Framasoft to offer a free alternative to the platforms of GAFAM (Facebook, Meetup.com, EventBrite).
So instead of using fb to find concerts one could use local mobilizon instance
Eventbrite alternative
The event planning app?
Yes…
Federated calendar app. I use gancio for freestreamers.btfree.org but you can follow either through your Fediverse account or you can have the calendars follow each other.
Decentralized calendar event sharing.
It’s an online platform to create, share and find events (slogan from their website). I’ve used it to create a few events for concerts. Don’t know if anyone seen it or came to the events because of it, but they federated and I found my events on random funny sounding domains which was cool. It also has features for groups to organize.
Is there any instance that’s open to users from lndia ??
I don’t know. Here’s a list of all instances.
Thanks. I’ve chosen one from Europe where English is used and which is open to registrations globally :)))
