Albert Jaragua Corado misses the point of how cops see themselves as Punishers.
Like @jiggle_physics@quokk.au perfectly put it🧵: They see the system “failed” them, they see people above them as betrayers of their sense of justice. They are seeking revenge by punching down. They feel they are owed more than a loyal partner and kids. They feel civilians deserve to obey laws, otherwise they are as good as dead. If law becomes the cudgel, then the punishing should never cease.

Being a “coward” is praxis for them, for they are punishers, not the heros.

Yes, they are aware they are villains, and they enjoy every second of it.

  • Do you call authoritarianism a way of life or a lifestyle?

Anarchism proclaims choice a maxim. Free to live under no hierarchies, free to choose to style one’s life. Others need nonsubscribe. In authoritarian dictī, there are no choice than accept the oppressors’ demands. The way of life is crippled, the style subservient.

What other ways of living do you object?

  • It’s a combination of sillytalk (also anarchist praxis), and getting to the actual essence of the anarchist axiom: food is something we all need. One of the ways to solidify is through sharing hunted and gathered food. Canteens/foodbanks are a public place folks can combine all the gathered food, cook, serve, and commune with.
I am mocking the meme of “shopping” because that is capitalist praxis. Not the [food] cart itself, but the act of shopping. Returning say cooking utensils, washing tables, cleaning the floors, that is the true equivalence of the thesis of this meme.
