Good for the future of Steam hardware.
I have constant encryption errors that I can never figure out how to fix it. And I always have issues signing in on a new device. I don’t even know why.
Matrix is just far too convoluted. Signal seems to be the easiest one to use. SimpleX is the best.
Yeah, autocorrect. Thanks.
Issue #1: The performance overlay is too small. I haven’t figured out which of the scaling options affect it (if any)
There isn’t any.
Issue #2: Some games have it hidden when they detect they’re running on a “Steam Deck”.
Add ‘steamdeck=0 %command%’ to launch options
Issue #3: Proton.
It just uses the latest Proton available for all games, I believe.

I don’t know what they check but my Bazzite desktop is often detected as a Steam Deck, which is infuriating because they apply all the wrong settings, and will even remove others until you reboot the game with ‘steamdeck=0’ and it doesn’t even give you any indication that it’s happening.

The problem is that it’s overwhelmingly not used “correctly”.

No it means you won’t be allowed to install the app on any certified devices at all. Regardless of where it’s obtained.

Is Android Studio forcing you to register?
Does anyone here actually support Google’s Developer Verification?
At best some are indifferent but I’ve never heard of anyone who actively supports this.
Is Play Store still worth the hassle i?
Never has been 🔫

If the Steam app lets users buy games that they can then play on Android through FEX, does that violate the ToS?

They have the same fears of our tech too
Which makes sense, because the exact same concept applies: local vs. foreign
One being forgien, and one being local doesnt change that.
It absolutely does, from the perspective of the government, who makes the laws.

Ahh so im talking to a Vulcan and I’m not allowed to go on my creative writting tangent.
You can go on all the tangents you want, but don’t expect no one to correct your factual inaccuracies unless you specifically label it as fiction. Are your statements fictional entertainment?
dont care in classifying which one is “worse”
You literally just did that in your previous reply…
In my mind that’s much worse than a invisible threat that isn’t even allowed to operate here yet
It’s not at all invisible. China is notorious for digital attacks on all kinds of US infrastructure. Along with Russia and North Korea. Basically most powerful authoritarian nations.
They aren’t allowed to operate here due to the potential threats that I mentioned.

the way you keep pushing this issue implies that because the forgien one is bad, we should justify the local one being bad.
It implies no such thing. Any such interpretation can be attributed to your imagination. What it means is simply that one is worse than the other.
If anything I support the forgien one more because you know I expect them to be bad guys.
That makes absolutely no sense.

It’s not hypocritical. One is local and the other is foreign.

Maybe claiming that the imported cars have Chinese spyware in them (but the spyware in our cars is cool)
I mean exporting that data to a nefarious authoritarian foreign nation seems much worse than keeping it local. Not that any of it is “good”.

I guess it’s too much to ask for parental controls to actually function properly without significantly impairing students’ ability to learn.

I recently learned that Hetzner sells managed Nextcloud hosting. Its the only one I’ve found in the US.

Ah, I must have missed that. Thanks for that extra bit of context.

This is just the layout for your personal profile. GtS doesn’t have a full frontend, it’s intended to be used with whatever we your favorite Mastodon app is (Phandroid).
Use one of the officially supported distros, and if it doesn’t work, ask FW for help.
