My introduction to these dudes was the album prior, which seemed to have kinda caused a rift among their fans. ! haven’t gone back to their older stuff yet, but it sounds like it’s worth checking out for sure! I’m just enjoying this newer material currently haha.

I also just had a friend recommend me Fantômas and I’m checking out their Director’s Cut album, it’s a fuckin trip man. Mike Patton is one hell of a talented individual and I’m finding a lot of his stuff is hit or miss for me, but I see the vision, these trippy visions lmao. I’m noticing Mr. Patton roped Lombardo into quite a few projects, and it’s rather interesting to discover this years after the fact.

So, turns out the guitarist (Rhea Thompson) left the band after having been replaced for upcoming tour shows without notification on top of some serious SA allegations against the bassist (Thomas Hewson). Looking forward to see where Rhea Thompson puts her talents next as I think she was a real highlight for me on this record.

Haha yea, I didn’t realize this cover existed either till I found Century Media records did a digital remaster with additional tracks back in 2013.

Love that Bandcamp gives them the best cut at the price the band sets. I’ll usually try as best I can to link it or something else that also closely supports the band.

Hell yea, they seem like a good time lol. This album has some surfin vibes to it too, especially with the title track and beyond, nearly reminding me of King Gizzard’s Mind Fuzz era.

Based on some quick out of my ass research this album seems to be a reissue from a previous record label before splitting up and reforming. I’m super grateful its on Tidal lmao.

Hell yea, thanks for sharing this here! Upon actually completing the album now, it reminds me a ton of a more raw Heathen, with a slightly death metal edge. My fav track overall is Landlord Liquifier - the solo tickled me just right lol. Also love the closer Victims of Conception, very fitting.

Fantastic message and great music for it to be played to! Love the aggression in the voice. And the almost cheesy melodies in the guitars.
