According to Metal Archives, these 2 songs are listed on a release sometime in November of this year, which would be rad as fuck, but idk for sure yet without more research.

Edit: seems i’m mistaken, i cant remember where i saw it lol

Bold of them to open the album with this subpar vocal performance lol. Yea I miss the previous singer something fierce, he had so much energy! At least the instrumentation is fantastic.

Thanks for making me aware they made a new album!

I’m noticing a common theme with newer thrash coming out across the world, roughly half of the cases nowadays are not just inspired mostly by Bay Area stuff, but attempt to add to that style. Of course I’m pulling this 50% number out of my ass, but it just feels that way lol.

So much detail and many layers, 100% fitting for the subject material the album’s about and lots of homages to different sci-fi works. It really is one of the best in recent memory.

Haha yea it makes sense you’d know it, you’re usually all over the German scene. Also, thanks for all your comments, super appreciate em! 🍻

Just missing an overly cutesy-creepy animal or doll girl thing.

Ah the heavy inclusion of groove and Chuck Billy incorporating growls, before jumpin into full on death metal lol. That vid is old as hell too! Here’s the Tidal link.

Just went back to their previous album and it has quite a bit more personality compared to this one, I feel. The messy side of the band was messier and really added some much needed crinkly bits around the outer edge of this simple, yet complex cookie lol.

My introduction to these dudes was the album prior, which seemed to have kinda caused a rift among their fans. ! haven’t gone back to their older stuff yet, but it sounds like it’s worth checking out for sure! I’m just enjoying this newer material currently haha.

I also just had a friend recommend me Fantômas and I’m checking out their Director’s Cut album, it’s a fuckin trip man. Mike Patton is one hell of a talented individual and I’m finding a lot of his stuff is hit or miss for me, but I see the vision, these trippy visions lmao. I’m noticing Mr. Patton roped Lombardo into quite a few projects, and it’s rather interesting to discover this years after the fact.

So, turns out the guitarist (Rhea Thompson) left the band after having been replaced for upcoming tour shows without notification on top of some serious SA allegations against the bassist (Thomas Hewson). Not exactly sure what to make of that but it’s disappointing to say the least. Source: https://www.loudersound.com/news/tailgunner-guitarist-rhea-thompson-steps-down-2026

Looking forward to see where Rhea Thompson puts her talents next as I think she was a real highlight for me on this record.

Ah nice it’s finally out! Been lookin forward to this one since hearing Death by Fire.

Also, what’s up with the A.D. thing? If I had a nickel… 🤣

It was close! Didn’t wanna just post the first actual track - I have actually added both to my playlist lol.

Solid fucking recc dude. Thanks! I wasn’t quite sold on this album alone, but the previous album is actually really good lol.

Holy shit ikr. Was just jammin to this on the way home from work and figured heavy metal could use some love lmao.

Fuck yea man, this one was a little after I got out of school but I found it early enough to hold on to it forever \m/

Yep! I posted a Slower song in !doommetal@lemmy.world, War Ensemble. Great name - the pun cracks me up every time xD.

Fantastic to hear they’re still making great thrash. Still got the Bay Area sound despite being Teutonic lol.

Haha yea, I didn’t realize this cover existed either till I found Century Media records did a digital remaster with additional tracks back in 2013.
