First post in a long ass while. Just hadn’t been feeling it before, after so much new music. Hard to truly connect with it when, yea - this style of music is my jam but there was just so much of it. But now reconnecting slowly; felt like posting again.
Instrumental from one of the best classic speed metal acts out there. Doesn’t break any new ground but I love it all the same. The melodies and bass lines in the middle of the track are always stuck in my head, as well as the uplifting feeling the whole thing gives me.
Don’t get used to seeing my posts all the time like before, but I haven’t forgotten this place exists. Gonna also use this opportunity to link my instrumental playlist on Tidal. Rock on my dudes.

Absolutely sick, normally instrumentals are very polarizing for me, I’m very into lyrics (even when it’s cornball bullshit I’m not gonna lie) so usually they either become all time favorites(Redneck Stomp hello!), or I just entirely forget about them after the fact.
Yea I’m all about them instrumentals, from the short, minute-long interludes to the 10+ minute epics. And quality all over the place. Either way when placed nicely in an album they break up the pace or just mix it up with some sort of variety. That last sentence kinda contradicts my first as I love to collect em lol but still. Also love when bands put out albums that are the exact same as another of theirs, just minus the vocals.
One of my fave doom metal songs of all times is easily the instrumental of Empress Rising. Not to dog on the vocals of the original, but it’s pretty undeniably far more powerful without them. So, I see what you mean. That said, vocals/lyrics really are just the “sauce and seasoning” of a good metal track to me, it’s just not quite right most of the time without it.
