    Slight correction

An SDF spokesperson denied that the group is an official member of the coalition

    Though I am nevertheless impressed.

FYI the SDF is not Islamic, it’s a left-wing coalition led by Kurdish people.

That is cool. Generally being in an Islamic region is threatening but these are militias, not exactly lynchable.

A ‘left-wing’ coalition that worked with the US to undermine the Syrian government, and then got wrecked by the ISIL splinter group that came to power. But I don’t think they had much of a choice in the matter.

No no he had weapons of mass destruction (source: US) and Syria needs democracy stability. Don’t look too deep into the history of the new puppet, I mean, president.

Yeah, Assad definitely wasn’t a puppet. The massive russian base and the fact he fled straight to russia was just a coincidence. His legacy of torture and secret prisons was totally just western propaganda too, they were actually wellness spas.

Oh no, he was a Russian puppet and he was definitely jailing his opponents. He’s no saint. But minorities weren’t getting massacred and women had some rights. Now there’s an US IS guy in charge and it’s going about as well as you’d expect.

Do you have any sources on this? I knew he was formerly(?) Islamic state, but it seemed like the country was becoming more stable (fascist israeli invasion aside).

Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won’t be tolerated.

Don’t take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com
