Another craft made from a simple brass plate, this time the design relies on contrast. It’s quite simple, but still one that I’m rather fond of, even though others might not feel the same.
It doesn’t show very clearly, but the antlers are made from a cut in the plate, they are not engraved.
It’s really cool, love how the antlers look. Cut brass has a particular old-yet-new feel that I really enjoy. Also the antlers remind me of lightning, like it’s in a storm. Badass!
Edit; it’s like a little perspective game. I either see a buck with huge antlers, or a doe standing beneath lightning. Awesome stuff.
I didn’t see it as lightning before, but now that you’re mentioning it, it does look like it could be seen both ways.
Err, I mean, that was totally my plan from the beginning, of course!
