oh, god. we had that discussion already, I opened a substack last week, only to learn it had a Nazi problem. moved to medium.
Pretty good read! Alienation and people feeling too exhausted to participate in communities are really sad. We’re currently getting more involved with the neighborhood, with other young parents for starters but I hope it gets beyond that.
Hope you succeed, community building is very rewarding.

Ethically? I can just write here, cross post to other communities. And the only people who will read it will be a handful of people that likely already know that.
Practically? Better to use a bad platform to get significantly more reach in the general population. as long as it isn’t promoting Nazis (tried using substack only to be informed of their serious Nazi problem).

I’m, in general, disliking any kind of blog centralization services. I think I got most of them filtered out from my search results for that reason.
