Problem with this is when do I get a battery for my house? Do I get one now or do I wait for a better one. Should see how much they cost to install and how much I really need, could cut my energy bills between 1/3 and 1/2 depending on capacity and charge frequency with different tariff options.

Really the grid should be buying them and use that to bring me the same savings as per kWh it is cheaper to buy a warehouse full of batteries than it is to stick a small box in every house. But they are not doing that. Suppose they can just not do it and let consumers take the risk instead.
