This is a weird one for me to recommend. It has your classical heavy metal, a bit of black metal, complex soundscapes, and a phenomenal main female voice. This experimental release won’t be for everyone here, but I see it as a growth of the sub-genre, in a different direction.
I personally like it, or I probably wouldn’t share it. Hope this tickles some of you in the right way too.

Man, I know. I’m just driving along to work in the dark morning before sunrise, in a haze, and this comes on next in the daily recommends. I’m thinking, okay, some decent atmospheric black metal instrumentation, but with heavy metal songrwriting and those guitar rhythms? What the fuck? Then the voice sent it over lol.
I don’t usually go for black metal (or anything with very much influence from it) but on first listen I can already tell I’m gonna be reaching for this one a lot over the next few weeks.
