That’s how articles and youtube videos, even when posted separately by different people, get linked up as cross-posts. Some clients, (like Thunder) allow you to jump between all the different cross-posts so you can see all their comments.

You press the cross post button, select the community you want to crosspost to and hit send. Just read the rules but that is also nothing new.

If you grab the image url, and re-use it instead of uploading the image again to get a new link, it works.
