China’s emissions may be dropping? Doubt it

You’ve seen the sheer mind blowing stats though yeah?

Almost three-quarters of all solar and wind power projects being built globally are in China, says a new report that highlights the country’s rapid expansion of renewable energy sources.

China is building 510 gigawatts of utility-scale solar and wind projects, according to data from the Global Energy Monitor, a non-governmental organisation based in San Francisco.

That compares with about 689GW under construction globally, GEM said. A rough rule of thumb is that a gigawatt can potentially supply electricity for about 1mn homes.

they’re expanding number of cars on the road every year

    EV’s and NEV’s?

China produced some 17 million EVs in 2024 or around 70% of all EVs built globally (and that number is expected to grow this year

Around 11 million didn’t leave the country

They are nearly single handedly powering the renewables revolution

in recent years they’ve been pushing to increase their population

Population doesn’t correlate with co2 usage

You’ve seen the sheer mind blowing stats though yeah?

I’ve also seen their stats on covid and Uighurs

      EV’s and NEV’s?

Powered by Superheated Coal Power Plants?

They are nearly single handedly powering the renewables revolution

Their intentions for these EV exports that they’re selling at a cost is to corner markets and push competitors out, afterwhich they will undoubtedly spy on the west or remotely disable in times of war. Perhaps even self destruct.

Population doesn’t correlate with co2 usage

I think you meant to put the misleading CO2 per capita image but you accidentally told the truth with the CO2 total image where China tops the chart by having roughly triple the runner up.
