Newer crossover thrash from Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Released this debut EP in 2022. Has elements of stenchcore and blackened crust but placed firmly within thrash. Shitty n gritty production but that’s to be expected with stenchcore lol. Has some Maiden-esque hooks in the middle of the song too!

Seems they split up shortly after their second EP in 2023; what a bummer cuz I thought I found a new act to follow with interest.

Tidal, Bandcamp, RateYourMusic, Encyclopaedia Metallum

    Well this was fun! :D
Played through both their titles, loved it all.
    Great find, thanks!
Never heard of stenchcore before, but keep 'em coming please ;)

Stenchcore is like gritty production proto-death with lots of hardcore punk, I think?? I mostly listed it cuz RYM had it under the genres, and it’s similar to other stuff under than genre descriptor, like Sacrilege, or Napalm Death’s first output(s)

Oh I actually like this one quite a bit. But it seems to be more simply crossover thrash/groove metal?

It probably is. At the time of release it sounded rather unique to me, so I put it in the dirtier sounding area of hardcore. There weren’t all these sub genres then and bands just invented their own niches like horsecore or splattercore or whatever :D

Ha yea. I remember a friend I had growing up got tired of all the little nuances and subgenre lines and shit and was like “Isn’t this all just metal??” Which I get but at the same time, I more vehemently disagree with the older I get.

I don’t keep up with them all, but some come in handy. They make it easier to find stuff I’ll probably like. Or steer clear of the shit. And occasionally I’ll just get lost XD
