    Even if we didn’t have a climate catastrophe, electrification and renewable energy would make a lot of sense.

    If you have an AC solar just makes so much sense. AC runs when sun is hottest - solar power runs AC. Free cooling

      Lots of posts on here have me arguing against solar, but I totally agree with you here. When you need AC you usually have sunlight to help you run the AC.

      Isn’t going to help with heat or light, but AC? Definitely. Especially paired with some batteries to smooth out higher load and lower load periods.

    I have often said it makes more sense to get a battery system before solar or such. You get protection from power outages and you can start getting payback by buying electricity at the hourly rates when its cheap.

    What an advanced civilization.

    Battery tech is cool though, I hope the 10$/kWh sodium batteries won’t be totally bust.
