Ewwwww
Am I the only person that still types “command” in the search? It’s windows who is typing “terminal”?
Yes I know it’s a terminal, but it’s never been called that AFAIK. It’s always been the command prompt.

I got diagnosed because my oldest son was diagnosed and I was going “he gets that from me” too much.
Fast forward my mum’s entire side of the family is basically undiagnosed ADHD. It’s actually hilarious to witness. They’re all good people and have all led successful lives but man scratch the surface and they are have demons chasing them.

Here I am like a plebe using a hot water bottle when cold and less bedsheets when hot. If only I knew there was a technical solution for a problem that’s already been solved hundreds of times over!

Inattentive is such a PITA. I’ve had a very, VERY successful career and can’t help but think it’s been all while doing life on hard mode.
Damn and I learned about concerta Crash almost immediately because I was an emotional wreck once it wore off like I’m a grown ass dude and I was weeping every night as the emotions came flowing back in droves.
Maybe if I knew I was ADD as a kid and had the tools to manage it better things would be different but nah. I was never told how to manage as a kid just always loud and disruptive and always my fault.
I make damn good money but at the same time Jesus Christ I’m self destructive outside of my professional career. ADD Drugs may help but at 48 I am not going to risk that journey again. I actually found regular exercise helps a lot
Concerta Crash was one of the main reasons I decided meds are not for me. Made it to 40 without knowing I had ADD. Then realized as much as meds helped with work they didn’t help with the RSD and emotional regulation and when I crashed every night I was a goddamn wreck
I love you all solutioning for something I don’t care enough about. I just find it annoying that systemctl reversed the order for some stupid reason.
Note the order of the commands. I don’t mind typing aystemctl
My biggest complaint with systemd…
Service xxx stop/start/restart is so much easier than
Systemctl stop/start/restart xxx
It fucking annoys me
This meme really irritates me hahahaha
This is better

If I’m building a server I’ll do headless CentOS because it’s lockstep with RHEL. I’ve been working with Linux over 20 years. I know my way around and then some.
If I’m rolling a new laptop or desktop I’m doing Ubuntu for the reasons you’ve mentioned.
I’ve been working with Linux for the better part of 20 years at this point. Ubuntu is perfectly fine my time is too valuable to spend numerous hours fucking around getting shit to work properly. If that makes me an idiot then I’m happily an idiot.
I get that many people have issues with snap, SystemD or whatever else they want to throw out. I don’t give a shit. You’re whinging into the wind over nothing burgers.

I’m curious what it will look like when school starts
IT in general but yes, and you can tell they aren’t smarter because a lot of them are Libertarians as well. Fucking morons.
Yup but that would require the true ruling class to see their blood spilled to get it. Progressive people have tried and continue to try to push UBI throughout the world. In Canada alone we have had recent experiences both on the Federal and Provincial level. They intentionally get hamstrung or directly shut down to poison any potential results.
The longer we go without UBI the worse it’s going to get. Christ look at youth unemployment globally let alone the general struggles youth are dealing with that didn’t exist even 20 years ago. We need UBI yesterday but we are still struggling to get people to even entertain the concept of it.
