I trade stocks, I hate billionaires. We’re all deeply contrarian animals if you examine things using only absolutes.

edit: I should make a post about this somewhere, but you can really directly correlate the pantheon of ancient greece to the stock market. Corporations are immortal entites that are not subject to human law. Stock prices have inflated far beyond the value of their goods and services and instead represent belief in that company. it’s a bit discouraging, I guess is why I wouldn’t post about it.

When it comes to political action my American public school system education always held up these examples against each-other as if to say: “Here are two different ways people responded to the civil rights movement: Pacifist heroes like Rosa Parks compared to domestic terrorist Black Panthers.” Their message was always that it is morally correct to respond to injustice with passivity.

This half-truth is so sinister that it leads us down this road of not even considering violence as an option at all and just throwing our hands up and wondering why everything is getting worse despite how hard we post on the internet about it. It took me a while to de-program myself, but once you see the actions and the protests as a necessary dichotomy a lot of things seem possible.

thank you Black Panthers, I’m sorry we let society dictate the narrative surrounding your political actions.

I’ve always been angry about the hands we have been dealt in this life, and for a long time I misdirected that anger at the other people in the trenches. It wasn’t until I directed that anger upwards that things fell into place.

I could have let myself become a blackpilled doomer and been able to sip my coffee and say “ah yes, all is going according to my plan” every time something horrible happened, but I’d rather be an optimist and hope we can make something out of the scraps of world we have left. but yeah, podcasts mainly, I think.

people who ask are usually friends or acquaintances so I just say I’m “basically a communist”
