Using 7900XTX with LMS. Speed are everwhere, driver dependent. With QwQ-32B-Q4_K_M, I got about 20 tok/s, with all VRAM filled. Phi-4 runs at about 30-40 tok/s. I can give more numbers if you can wait for a bit.
If you don’t enjoy finding which driver works best, I strongly aginst running AMD for AI workload.

linuxserver/jacketton Docker Hub, it seems it indeed update everyday.
Congrats on finding a suitable program. It looks promising.
I don’t think such things exists. You would need to do some coding work to gule a few tools together. I would do “FFmpeg -> OpenCV -> Tesseract OCR -> tanslator”.

Linux@lemmy.ml•The anti-AI sentiment in the free software communities is concerning.
0·2 years agoGnome and other desktops need to start working on integrating FOSS AI models so that we don’t become obsolete.
I don’t get it. How Linux destops would become obsolete if they don’t have native AI toolsets on DEs? It’s not like they have a 80% market share. People who run them as daily drivers are still niche, and most don’t even know Linux exists. Most ppl grown up with Microsoft and Apple shoving ads down their throat, using them in schools first hand, and that’s all they know and taught. If I need AI, I will find ways to intergrate to my workflow, not by the dev thinks I need it.
And if you really need something like MS’s Recall, here is a FOSS version of it.
It’s given both are a control plane to Wireguard, they are similar.
I curious about the using experience, both user and admin wise, between similar products.

For any printer. You never know what it’s doing without a firewall solution. USB is always the safest option.
