This is why I carry a pen and little pocket notebook. And I keep all my pocket stuff in the same place every night before bed. Can’t (usually) lose anything that way

13·8 days agoMy half a year long bedroom renovation project. Every week a new thing comes up that requires me to plan, prepare, build, and install something or other. What i figured would take me a week, maybe two, has become like 5 or 6 months in progress
Here’s one that looks pretty thorough in covering it. I only quickly skimmed through it though.
It’s well documented that as individuals age the hyperactivity and impulsiveness wanes somewhat, though the amount varies from person to person. I could definitely see things like TikTok exacerbating symptoms though. I dunno that I would call technology imposed behavioral changes ADHD, especially since ADHD is a shit name anyway. Maybe calling it something like self-inflicted ADHD rather than type 1 and type 2 lol
Besides, we already have 3 ‘types’ to begin with: hyperactive, inattentive, and combined type.
Would you happen to have a link to that article? I’d love to check it out

3·11 days agoUgh, yeah. Same. But I also have social anxiety on top of it so I couldn’t possibly keep bugging them until I get an appointment lmao I know I need to and that’s what I should do but brain says no. Such goofy shit sometimes
That’s true. I suppose I was thinking more from the perspective of playing the game, not getting the cartridge in or installing then opening the game.
Physical, no. Mental, varies by game, but usually a bit
Better than the monster that comes into an ADHD community throwing around the word “lazy”

Change how you define “useful in life” then. If the time spent brought you enjoyment, isn’t that still useful in a way?
