From that time I remember people getting Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth because you could get all of the achievements in under 5 minutes by just spamming your basic attack on the tutorial mobs

Yeah, it screams unreliable narrator. “I was banned over a frog!” and definitely not for throwing slurs around

Agreed, the fediverse is small enough now that living aggregate communities are preferable to dead specific ones. Especially because everyone hates posting something, getting their post removed and being told to go post in another very similar community they didn’t know existed. As you said, if it becomes a problem you can just spin off

Well you see one device is made by Microsoft which has been the defacto way to watch videos for a large chunk of its lifespan and the other gave us UMDs and camcorders with cables that could only connect to Vaio laptops, which were the only devices that supported writing to mini-disc

I would not recommend PS5+Plex. I went through the whole set-up and the PS5 couldn’t encode over half my videos. When playback did work it was often choppy. I dislike that it has ads all over the place but the ONN Streaming Pro does a way better job as Plex streaming device at $45 than my PS5. Plus the controller will be much easier for simple tech users, you can rebind one of the buttons to go directly to Plex

I have a Kobo H2O and have been using it since 2020. I read with very small print and have never had legiblility issues except on PDFs which most eReaders aren’t built for anyway. I can comfortably read 750 pages on a charge and honestly that number would be significantly higher if I was better about turning it fully off between reads instead of putting it into standby. No idea what OS it uses but it lets me put almost anything on it and it’ll try it’s best to display it
That’s an irresponsible place to be standing. There could be a mine there Better yet the revealed squares are pretty risky too

I’m sure people know this but Honey is a surprisingly shitty company for such a simple product: https://youtu.be/vc4yL3YTwWk

Just started with YAMS using Plex 2 months ago:
Movies: 241 TV Shows: 30
About 3.5 TB on an 8 TB drive
I’m probably going to do a trial run of Bazzite on my secondary computer to see how much does and doesn’t work and make my decision based on that
I’m in the same boat. I am really not interested in Windows 11 at all, especially after using it at work. My primary hesitation has been video game playability in the past but the steam deck has really expanded how many games are playable on Linux and I also play a lot more games on consoles than I did a few years ago
How would you federate something ephemeral? I’ll admit I don’t understand the specific techinals of federation but what stops another platform from hosting your content locally after it has supposed to have been deleted? It seems like the two goals of the platforms are diametrically opposed
To be honest I have no idea how retroachievements works. I just remembered that game as being easy to get all of them and assumed it’d be the same across platforms like most achievements are these days
