The biggest problem with microsd cards is they’re stuck in 2013, yeah microsd express technically exists but nobody produces cards so no OEMs are willing to support it (except Nintendo)

They dont acturally need to change the liscense at all, despite what most people think (and would logically make sense) AOSP is acturally downstream from Android. So basically as we’re seeing right now if Android doesn’t want to release the source code for something they just need to not push it to AOSP. It has been over two months already and Android 16 QPR1 still hadn’t been upstreamed to AOSP nor are they legally required to (they are legally required to publish kernel sources which they have failed to do).

I can see this going for around $750 personally

As someone who was an absolutely massive fan of the original Steam Controller (in fact I still have two of them) I absolutely love these. Yes I know they’re clearly a different design but like last time they seem absolutely perfect for my larger hands. The touchpads seem to be less of a primary focus but honestly im just happy that they included them at all especially two of them. Also USB C plus rechargeable battery and four back buttons instead of two, this is absolutely everything I could have hoped for and then some.

I really hope that with the release of this sc-controller either starts being maintained or somebody makes a fork of it that is (standalone original steam controller/steam deck/steaminput driver)

Bold of you to assume Wayland devs do things like absolutely everything else, in fact the opposite is true. As a rule of thumb Wayland devs must always do everything completely differently from everyone else and if you dont like that feel free to ignore the less than 2% of people who use Linux.

Theres a difference, some people use desktop Linux as their main desktop OS but very few people use mobile Linux (and significantly fewer use it as their main mobile os).

You have just perfectly described why mobile Linux is never going to take off, the mentality of “I dont personally need x feature therefore it’s not important”. This isnt some sort of complicated thing like nfc payment or bypassing play protect this is literally changing the audio. So many incredibly basic tasks like that require typing multiple terminal commands on mobile Linux. Even if only advanced features like system management required using the terminal it would still be too much for 99% of people (even I wouldn’t use it).

Are you willing to accept being forced to use the terminal for everything? And I mean absolutely everything, even increasing or decreasing the audio during calls

How much less security are you willing to accept? LineageOS is significantly worse in terms of security while PostmarketOS is even wose than LineageOS. Also its not just security but reliability.
