Did you tried other version besides Dodi before hand? Like fitG or idk cs.rin version if it exist?
Seems a lot of hassle if you didnt dual boot than trying different version.
But yeah, there’s no “it just works” on Linux fot every person since it’s always case by case basis
I think Bazzite specifically targeted gaming if you wanna try again.

how would you know it’s actually me, and not someone impersonating me?
Well, yeah the assumption here is that we both already knew and trust each other IRL and you personally give me this contact info and the check is there to make sure I was actually connected to you.
We as layman didn’t do this but I would assumed someone who is a high profile target actually do this kinds of checks.

You and me both.
But after pondering the orbs for a minute I think they’re saying, that it’s just Emissary trying to get E2EE working and not Fediverse as a whole.
And they follow with some objection with the proposed draft. I can only comment on the 3rd one, it basically mean you need other channel of communication to manually compare fingerprint (i.e via Matrix/Signal) to make sure your activities on Emissary is actually encrypted, maybe lol.

CopyParty is amazing. I also use https://localsend.org/, for one off transfer. Pretty easy to set up if you didn’t have complicated firewall.
Configurability? I mean Truenas Scale is also based on Debian, but it’s an appliance software, if you want NAS it’s purpose made for that. You need to configure Debian yourself if you want functioning NAS.
I still remember when TN doesn’t have native Tailscale apps/docker yet and everytime there’s a Truenas update I need to reinstall and set up Tailscale from scratch.
If you just need a NAS with basic apps/docker, there is no reason to just use Truenas.
I use both, but run a Technitium DNS and Frigate on bare Debian.

Ente

I don’t own an e-reader but if I’m not mistaken, kavita has a KOReader plugin so it probably possible to use it with an e-reader, android reader has many more options I think.

I watch a bunch of weekly anime stuff myself. Never have to worry about transcoding with my devices (locally) and just directplay it. Unless I watch it remotely then it transcodes, I never mess with the default settings and it’s fine.
My cpu is i3 8100 so I think you would be fine as well, unless it’s multiple streams at once I have no reference for that.

What did you dislike about synfonium? I’m considering switching since I don’t have a plex subscription anyway so I did not get to enjoy the sonic analysis featured etc.
Understandable, I suspect as much.
