Two bars… well that’s a thought, screens are so large now and a lot of times that space is just empty anyways, I rarely have anything maximized on my main monitor. Hmmm.

I now remember my main gripe with Cinnamon, it doesn’t remember window positions when turning off monitors, so if I turn off my main monitor first, all the windows will be on the secondary display next time I return to the PC and I have to drag the windows back to where they were. I suppose I’ll just have to remember to turn the secondary off first where I normally only have one or two windows. It looks like there is a Cinnamon spice extension that addresses this but the reviews are not glowing. But yeah, since everything else has been great hardware and software wise, maybe I’ll just deal with it.

Ah I see, thank you, well I have no showstopping problems with Cinnamon in particular, I would just like a bit more control, Cinnamon’s customization options are a bit slim, although maybe I should just leave well enough alone as I have had few problems and everything seems to be running well. I guess I’ll see when I get into some more demanding tasks.

Humm I’m on LMDE7 now and am happy otherwise but kinda wanna try out KDE before I get toooo cozy because I do really like their apps and Cinnamon doesn’t have a ton of options tbh. MX seems like a good hop maybe.

I was searching for a simple directory player type program so I went through a lot of different music players, I was using foobar and 1by1 on windows, I finally settled on deadbeef, I know the name is not great, but it’s the best player I’ve found, I believe it should suit all your needs as it is highly extensible and modular. These people are literally the new robber barons, they just vacuum up other people’s work in order to turn it into a model and make money off of it, should be illegal, but I guess now our economy is hinged on it. Wild.

Ah thanks, that’s interesting. I feel like they go back and forth as far as features being “inspired” although I do have more faith in the GIMP team than Adobe going forward, as far as adding features I’ll actually use.

Thanks! Always good to hear about useful Linux software, I didn’t use it a lot in Photoshop but still nice to have. I had so many go-to places to learn about new Windows software now gotta find the same for Linux.
