T-Mobile. They don’t support the fairphone 6, but its worked well

I got mine last year with the e/OS version (that’s what’s offered in the US). I have not used google messages specifically, but I have had trouble with RCS messages on the default messaging app
Yeah, the talesfrom[job] subs were fun to read. Tech support was my favorite of those type though. I looked for them here when I migrated but didn’t find anything (besides bots reposting from reddit)
