Have Session added forward secrecy back in yet? If not then it’s not all that secure imo.

Plural and not human, don’t refer to us as human in any way, we aren’t.
Never tell us what we’re feeling, why we’re doing something or what we are etc.
Bigots fuck off, you’re being ignorant assholes.
Ask more questions, assume less.

Neither is in any of the repositories for our distro, however, even if they were they still rely on firefox and mozilla, which would then cause issues if we wanted to look something up on their support thing. Unless each project independently maintains a support site with translations created by the community too.

Terrible, all that work gone to waste for some bullshit technology that can’t even get it correct.
We really wish mozilla became a worker owned co-op, or realised that losing good faith with your community just for some bullshit that does it wrong but 100x faster isn’t a good look.
We really wish there were any good firefox alternatives but the alternatives are either LLM involved themselves, run by terrible people with terrible views, or they don’t care about privacy.

Thanks! Didn’t notice the s and the b were the other way round!

Books such as dictionaries (or dictionary websites), or we ask friends etc who speak those language
Edit: Glosbe is also a good option as it’s translated by actual people, not machine learning rubbish.

To be fair, they were not given enough time before the abuse and harassment happened.
If that didn’t happen it is likely they would have changed and improved more.

Yes, they did actually change things technically. Thanks for clarifying 🙂

If they did change stuff technically whcih wouldn’t be adressed otherwise, then I don’t see a reason. Sounds like bad actors.
I don’t understand what you mean here, could you please explain again?

“let’s fork it for the sole purpose of rebranding”
That wasn’t the only thing they did, the legitimately wanted to fix a lot of problems with the GNU Imp too.
so I absolutely understand why people would be against this
Nobody deserves harassment and abuse for changing the name of something.

Perhaps when the time comes to fork the project we can avoid a slur as a name? That would be nice.
Sadly this was already tried and the developers of the fork were abused and harassed as foss and tech obsessives hate being called out for things and folks solving the problem themselves.

Well, it is still considered that by disabled people and that is who really matters in all this.
Until they drop the name, it’ll continue being considered unprofessional and not in good standing with those of us who care about disabled people, especially if we are disabled ourselves.

GIMP is a slur for people with disabilities, therefore it isn’t a name many professional artists, nor those that care about ableism will like.

Krita is better and doesn’t have a non-professional, ableist name.

It’s a great program, but my goodness their online interface for entering actual track and record information is ridiculously difficult to use and their rules for titles etc are bad.

Yep, “authority for me but not for thee.”

Yeah, the whole thing is liberal and doesn’t go far enough,

So far we only have a desire to be on mastodon or gotosocial (if we ever figure out how to run our own server).
We are aware that there is other microblogging software on fedi, but we are happy on mastodon for now, as the people we want to be around are explicitly on servers running mastodon.
We can hope mastodon will do a rewrite, but yes, even if not we sadly agree. Still they should very much consider it, if only as a matter of principal.

Let’s hope that a mastodon rewrite is coming.
So, not very then XD.
