It doesn’t support offline online only files though. I can’t dump a few hundred GB on there and then access it from my phone etc

Follow up question for voice/video servers in general.
If I want to host a server that allows video calls, do I need GPU hardware acceleration?

There is also https://wandrer.earth/ (not federated) that is really cool. It gives you points for each unique mile you have been, encourages you to explore new places.

the answer is yes! https://docs.opencloud.eu/docs/admin/welcome/features#files-on-demand
may try to give it a spin later this year

How is the file sync integration? Even some of the commercial products have shocking implementations.
Does it support shadow copies of files?

On the chill games topic; Reus 2 has most of my deck (train commute) play time if I’m honest. Great chill puzzle/strategy game.
If only half the estate is on WhatsApp, you will get even less on the rest.
Maybe make a website with basic info, what’s happening etc, but that’s probably it. ( Unless you have a very young road)
In what way?

To be clear, you get 1 meaningfully decision. All the other ‘roleplay’ is conversation choices/optional lore conversations.
In that sense it’s more an interactive story with builds and good (IMO) combat.

That pretty much says: safe when stable. (Which it is now) Makes some sense.
Mine is public, so I hope it’s safe (ish)

On the public Immich bit, they have docs on how to setup a reverse proxy correctly. No security warnings.
That sounds like a thumbs up to me?

Can you just move that product to a new URL? What happens?
They are awesome - for some games.
Great to have both!

I stand corrected then! TIL

It’s a voice chat server. That’s all it does. You can’t post images, GIFs etc.
Fine for if you just need voice, but good luck getting people away from discord.
(Used it for WoW before discord)

Especially if you have slow internet
But if everyone else is down too, you don’t look so bad 🧠

It just needed the AMD compatibility plugin, lots of time wasted until someone pointed that out though.

Good point. I got 1 year of ultimate, with the plan to upgrade to perpetual if it was good (it is!).
The cost of that is still less than the cost would have been to buy new matching drives.
Sorry, brain fart moment.
I meant online only - the complete opposite of what I wrote …
I want to be able to upload files and have them stored on the server and only downloaded when needed (or if I mark them as always downloaded)
I don’t need or want everything on my laptop or phone (requires lots of storage!), but want to be able to get them easily when I do.
