  • I don’t really see an issue with reselling niche items. The people looking for them aren’t going to every thrift store weekly to find that exact item. They can conveniently go online and have it shipped to their door. It has caused goodwill to jack up prices and cherry pick all the good stuff for their own auction site.

I’ve bought and resold before as well as redold my old stuff on ebay but the margins can be thin unless you have a huge difference in price bought vs sold.

There’s a big difference between resellimg and scalping.

It’s derogatory and innacurate description, workers aren’t a commodity. Having a college degree doesn’t mean you’re a specialist. You don’t have to have a certification or degree to be skilled. Economist isn’t a skilled job because you can’t predict the future, it’s a self fullfilling prophecy when you apply your own perceptions into descision making. Not everything is a predictable pattern.

  • I guess I wasn’t thinking about how much work it would actually be in order to enforce it. I doubt I could afford the cost. Maybe if it was coupled with a managed services type of deal and you had enough subsrcibers it could be enough to hire another staff member? It seems like adding “premium” features could alieanate the userbase unless it’s just cosmetic changes. I put my foot in my mouth bringing it up, sorry.
