Yes, everyone can have Audacity (for all your audio basics needs!) Audacity & Gimp work on Windows & MacOS, for those of you who continue to pay homage to corporate overlords for your computational playground (but want to use free (& open source) tools).

Is it safe to say Everything before AND after Ubuntu is better than Ubuntu?
Come to think of it, I can’t recall (of myriad different exploratory OS installations) a single distro I’ve liked LESS than Ubuntu. Other than Windows (other than xp). Scratch that. Red Hat Linux 7.1 was a pretty rough (20+years ago) install. Functional, though. At that time, Ubuntu was new-ish (pre-canonical mess). So it seemed much more beneficial to get used to. And it was, red hat Linux was scrubbed 2004.

The Windows shit-train is not, in & of itself, gonna get a significant percentage of users migrating away from suckling corporate teat.
Marketing Foss solutions to problems is something I Revere about people in the communities. Just Wish we could be a little better at helping more people make the shift.
Heal the computing planet! Deprecate the Corporate OS blight!
