Answering “n” gives me the same error still. Same with if I say no for both questions. In fact, any combination will always result in the same error.
Probably a dumb question but how would I go about installing vulcan-mesa-implicit-layers?

I tried that one too and it gave me the same error.

Thanks for all the info. I tried manually replacing the mirrorlist but I’m still getting the same warnings and errors. I also tried -Syyu but still no dice.
What was this you were saying about keyfile? That doesn’t seem to be something I’m familiar with.

Oh huh, that’s good to know. If I decide to switch from XFCE I’ll go to KDE.

Yeah I remember reading about that recently. I did consider it but figured this would be a good time to try something new. I may eventually switch but I’m liking the change. Plus I still use KDE on my main machine.

I just switched to Debian on my secondary pc, with XFCE as the DE. My main pc is on an Arch-based distro (CachyOS) with KDE so it’s a bit of an adjustment but I’m liking it so far. My secondary pc is mostly just used for watching movies anyway so it doesn’t matter too much, but I like it better than Mint which is what it was running before. I still think I prefer CachyOS but it’s nice to have options.
I’ve got two computers. My gaming pc is running CachyOS, and my other computer which is basically for messing around with and watching movies, used to be running Mint, but I just today switched over to Debian with XFCE as the DE and I’m liking it so far. Super bare bones but that’s what I wanted for this computer anyway so it works great for me.
I’ve been considering this actually.
On my main pc, which I mostly use for gaming, I’m running CachyOS, which was great when I actually had time to play games, but I’ve got a kid now and just got promoted to manager so I don’t really have a lot of time these days. I have a second pc which is technically a laptop but the battery is completely gone (and it’s also somewhat old now) that I’ve been planning on using more for office-y stuff. I’ve currently got it running Mint but I’m heavily considering hopping to Debian.
I can’t lie, that’s one of the reasons I moved over to CachyOS a few months back. It’s not the only reason, but it’s been my favourite distro for sure that I’ve tried. It’s the first one that really felt good to me.
Good to know. Thanks for the info, I’ll keep it in mind.
That’s good to know. I’m pretty good at fitting into tight spaces too, and think working on machines would be really interesting. My dad actually did millwright apprenticeship for a year before changing to welding, so I’ve spoken to him about it too, but it’s good to have multiple perspectives, especially from someone who actually does it as a career. I’m also Canadian, so that’s good to know too.
How do you like millwright? I’m looking for a career change and that was something I was considering.

I’m not very techie at all but after using some guides I learned how to dual boot and distro hop. I’m now all in on CachyOS and have been super happy with it. Ditched windows for good a few months ago.

+1 for CachyOS, I’ve been running it for a few months now and it’s my new favourite. I’ve run Mint, Ubuntu, and Bazzite but none of them felt right to me. Cachy has been great since day one. I mostly use it for gaming but also like to do non-gaming tasks too and it handles it all very well and very quick and smooth.

I’ve got over 5k hours and in the realm of 50-100 playthroughs and I’ve probably only beat the main quest 2 or 3 times.

I appreciate it, I’m saving your comment for when I try out Morrowind again. Thanks for the help.

Any other suggestions? I know of OpenMW but that’s it.

Maybe I should just mess around the next time I play Morrowind. I’m currently playing Skyrim again, then I’ll probably play Oblivion for a while, and then I’ll try Morrowind again. Hopefully it’ll click this time. I really want to get hooked on it.

This has been me with Morrowind. I’ve been trying to play it for literal years, but I can’t ever finish a playthrough. Which sucks because I actually really like the game, I just can’t get hooked on it for some reason.
Yeah, basically. This was my result:
sudo pacman -S vulkan-mesa-implicit-layers resolving dependencies... looking for conflicting packages... :: vulkan-mesa-implicit-layers-1:25.3.5-2 and vulkan-mesa-device-select-1:25.2.6-2 are in conflict.
