Lazy! CachyOS sets up system snapshots and I could one click install gaming related packages. It’s not much really, I could install regular Arch instead but meh.
How do you do, fellow kids? You gettin’ indoctrinated on the world wide web? Radical!

Come on down to your local Burger Baron restaurant, rated the #1 pizza in Onoway, BC! First established in Edmonton, Alberta…is one claim amongst many!

I was thinking about:
Server costs, vast increase of bad actors and bots, legal scrutiny, international government narrative manipulation. Overall quality drop from LCD majority who aren’t typically early adopters of any new social platform. Stuff like that.
This is your first comment on your new account and you chose to be an asshole. Congratulations.
And suffer all the problems popularity brings.

I think the AUR isn’t possible to keep using as-is so hopefully they come up with some sort of vetting process. Invite system like a private torrent tracker? Idk really.
I try not to use AUR. A few exceptions being the actual program developer maintaining the AUR repo and recommending that method for Arch users on their github page or whatever.

I’m aware of the omissions of 90’s Alberta public education 🤭 Being made to stand for anthem and Christian prayer every morning was also pretty creepy. Special needs were bullied heavily and segregated from general school population. The Eugenics programs had only just ended there in 1990. I didn’t even know about residential camps until it became an international scandal. Embarrassing to find out at the same time as the rest of you.
I’ve been mainly focused on the history of languages, medieval period, and the Canaanites as of late. Indus Valley Civilisation makes the list now. I guess Bill got it wrong, damn. Still a catchy vid.

That’s certainly a historical gap in my education tbh.

I agree about hunter gatherers. I was coming at this from the perspective of when civilisation started “in a dank river valley near you” as Bill Wurtz put it with a few small huts beside the field owner’s bigger stick figure hut :p

Hierarchy was there right from the start so I don’t agree that we were ever on the same page as to why we do anything.

American defaultism strikes again.
America is the only country on Earth.

These are also available on KDE when you click the get more button or whatever it’s called (I’m not at home) in System Settings.
A preview of a few but open the website, they’re animated. Plus there’s multiple styles and dark modes.

You can’t see the offending comments on piefed/Pylova modlogs OP, but you can on Lemmy:
