Hi, I’m using KDE Plasma and it’s been great so far. I heard that the new version will be Wayland only. I’m no expert on the matter, but I’ve been happy to be able to switch between Wayland and X11. Some older Windows games I play through Wine run better with X11. Also in python programming the pyautogui module only works with X11. As far as I know it’s not even possible at all in Wayland to make mouse and keyboard automations. Thats kind of a bummer for me. Why not just support both as they do now?

AFAIK XWayland is still supported, and pyautogui should work fine in XWayland.Edit: Nevermind, thought it was some gui framework, it’s more like xdotool.
You can, you just can’t use the X11 tools, because it’s not X11. Look into
ydotoolfor a universal option, or there’skdotoolfor kwin.
