Ugh, I really hate those bullshit controllers. Index controllers are the best and I feel like I’m just going to use tethered HMDs forever because of it.

I saw that but it seems like they’re just hand straps and the grip is still a button instead of capacitive touch, which is exactly why the index is so immersive. It might not be awful but I’m still gonna hold off given the price and battery life. I already have a triple lighthouse setup and wire tethers, so the best bang for my buck would be upgrading my hmd only. Though the index is still solid, so honestly I’ll probably just keep rocking it until it dies.

It’s both now. I love the immersion of the capacitive touch but in many games you have to grip the controller like crazy to not drop something (or maybe I’m just weak lol). The button makes that a problem of the past WHILE still retaining the capacitive touch for immersion. I do wish they’d include the straps for free though.

The Frame controllers have full finger tracking. According to reviews, this isn’t very useful without the hand straps, though.

I’m kind of surprised they don’t do hybrid controllers yet. As in the experimental kind used for prosthetics. Combine that with an EEG headset. Sounds like fun to me. Then again setup time would be a pain.
