    Feel like it does depend a bit on the food they are stealing. Are we taking someone stealing essentials or luxuries? I don’t feel so sympathetic if you are stealing caviar and expensive champaign compared to someone stealing a bag of potatoes.

    The first is typically organised crime with the intent to resell it at a profit. The second is someone who is desperate to eat.

      Food is food. Period. Stop with this arbitrary delineations of what other people “deserve”.

      Again, food is food and people deserve free and ready access to food. That’s all there is to it.

        And organised crime against local shops isn’t something we should be supporting. When the target is a massive corporation, ehh, don’t care quite so much.

        To be fair, not aware of any local independent caviar shops. But there are a few with nice wines and spirits. I don’t think theft against them should be encouraged. Shouldn’t we support the local gin distillery?
