I don’t trust anyone who isn’t vegan since they clearly believe that harming others is fine if they’re sufficiently vulnerable.

There is no clear line between humans and non humans. What particular gene? what behaviour? what unique feeling gives our cries moral weight but strips it from a cow? What does a pig do that condemns them but spares a dog?

Not every non-vegan is a bad person, sometimes your social and economical context fights against your ethic; in many countries low-quality meat is cheaper than fresh fruit and vegetables; I’m not saying nothing can be done to improve these paradigms, political measures need to be achieved to reduce animal consumption, a single person has limited power.

So you pull a woman claiming to be vegan but very clearly not being vegan as an example to say what? Harming animals is harming others and shouldn’t be a very controversial statement. Most people are socialised to not think about it or accept it as normal because we’ve done it for thousands of years and we don’t even have to watch the animals get murdered so there’s a mental disconnect that, when pushed, causes distress and defensive behaviour while turning off critical thinking

Sure you could just pretend that axiomatically humans are magically endowed with moral rights, not reference any physical reality to justify this, then claim that anyone asking you to is engaging in a fallacious argument.

That’s a tactic that’s been popular when people want to hurt others for centuries!
