It wasn’t her wings or teeth that gave it away. But the reflection she did not have.
When I started this piece I was planning to paint a reflection. Silly me. Looks unsettling without it which I think fits the scene.

General reminder that bats, being mammals, have similar bone layout to other mammals, including humans. The wings are arms, the ribs are fingers. Bats fly by the power of vigorous jazz hands
You’re absolutely right. But it doesn’t fit our modern fictional view of vampire wings. Though I did consider being more realistic for a moment and having the wings attach all the way down to the ankles and so on.
I want to clarify that I’m straight up accepting the physiology and, separately, wanted to spread the bat explanation!
Bat knowledge is always good knowledge to share!
