Trying to set up a tablet with Linux, and I got everything set up with Kubuntu, only to realize that I can’t sign in because the on-screen keyboard doesn’t work on the lock/login screen. Should I be trying another distro with Plasma, or find something else?

Bothish. Plasma is in a transition period where they are deprecating the old Maliit keyboard and creating a new Plasma Keyboard. But still Kubuntu should have included and set up one of them.
