AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I agreed with the quote except for the part:
violence, political manipulation and deception
These are absolutely natural, sadly. I don’t think systems based on these would persist for millennia otherwise.
Regarding deception and political manipulation, think the english language itself is orwellian. This is for two reasons.
- English is a language to forward might and machine.
- People are unaware about this, and are even less able to understand how to do anything about it.
Upholding the machine language requires some myths such as: ·Languages are neutral. ·Languages are only tools to make ourselves understood. ·That words can’t be questioned. ·To go in depth, you have to use unpoetic words.
That is not to say that the masses are completely blind, but rather that they might see one word that they don’t like such as the n-word. But after weeding out the word and replacing it with some less unhealthy word, it seems like the language has become great again. “The language was almost perfect, we just needed to get out that filthy word”.
We operate with the english language assuming that it was made in good faith, but not seeing that might and machine has always stood on the side to nudge us in their preferred direction.
On a side note. Concider the word “ethnic cleansing”. Is this a healthy word?
Somebody here doesn’t think english is orwellian :O

We didn’t have a scarcity problem, or a billionaire problem, we have a distribution problem.
One hundred percent false and misleading. The billionaires are the scarcity problem. It’s the extreme hoarding of wealth.
All the supplies in the world mean nothing if we can’t distribute the goods and service to everyone.
We do not lack the means to distribute resources. That is always available. The lack of distribution is wilful, and not an unfortunate side effect of something working well.
You could snap your fingers and make unlimited food in front of you, but starvation would still be happening.
Thankfully, you can see that there is a robust shipping infrastructure around the planet. Which once again negates the idea that it is an ability to distribute problem, and highlights the very real Unwilling to Distribute issue.

You’re talking out of your ass.
Here’s a plan that will wipe out world hunger in less than six months, and anhilate every so-called structural issue you care to claim:
List the wealthiest humans on the planet, and say out loud that food, shelter, education and Healthcare need to be spread more evenly.
State that the wealthiest humans on the planet will be executed one at a time, at the end of each month, until everyone feels pretty good about their basic needs. State that the executions will start with the wealthiest, and work down the list.

Poor countries are being kept poor by the world bank and the imf. We have a neocolonial problem.

Is it a distribution problem if the owning class has actively prevented their global-scale logistics systems from being applied in a way that would benefit the poorest of the poor? Amazon and Walmart have the technology, resources, and knowledge to feed everyone in the world. It’s a solved problem. The problem is with who owns them and therefore who makes decisions about their operation.
