Do you have some examples?
Examples of those who do not fight for freedom quite to the fullest of the original ideal?
Too many. In distribution, arguably pretty much any that are not on this list: https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html (and more, and more info, here: https://www.gnu.org/distros/ ).
Examples of individuals… pretty much any who say “open source” instead of “free software” (or “software libre”).
While Linus Torvalds often emphatically reaffirms he made the right decision to use the GNU GPLv2 for the Linux kernel’s license, you may notice he also falls into this category of “open source” advocacy. So then, the title of this post, “United, Linux fights for freedom!” causes a wry smile for more than just the “United”. ;D
