As wild as Sanderson’s worlds are I tend to see it like Invincible instead of a live action show. I just have a hard time seeing live action holding up for me. Like the live action Ghost in the Shell, I was so hyped for it but it just made me want to watch the original.
Yeah, it doesn’t have to be live action, animated would be fine. I just think it would be a hard job to do it justice. I just finished the 2nd Mistborn series (for the second time) a couple days ago, and I found myself trying to picture how it could be done. Not that it needs that treatment, books are almost always better, but I hold out hope for some skilled visionary to blow me away. That said, thanks for reminding me that I never got around to watching the live version of Ghost in the Shell. I’m getting it right now.
Legend of Vox Machina’s animation style would be a pretty good fit for both Mistborn and Stormlight Archive, I’d say. They have both magic and firearms, as well as a bunch of non-human characters, so most things Sanderson has come up with could be pictured rather nicely.

And agreed it would be hard to do. Plus Sanderson’s word play when describing a situation that isn’t what someone says is sometimes so good I wouldn’t want to go without.
Though if someone tried I’d want them to do the whole cosmere.
