I’m sick and tired of the Capitalist religion and all their fanatic believers. The Western right-wing/‘liberal’ population are the most propagandised and harmful people on Earth.

Currently they all repeat the same nonsense about world affairs, and none of them have actually sat down and researched what is going on, and why their leaders/media are lying to them. Ex. here is what really happened in and around the Ukraine project: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6-hcqTF_eSc6PIdk3QIwtoxtTK1wr30y

Stop supporting the Epstein Class by giving in to their lies about other nations !

  • “You do need to own a copy of the game to play it with OpenTS”

Arg!! I love these passionate re-imaginations, remakes and whatnot of old games, but they are already developing with AI, so why are they not generating a new asset resource that replaces all the original proprietary stuff!

Anyway, I hope we soon get complete asset replacement for ALL the old games Diablo, C&C, Baldurs gate and hundreds of other old classics that all have an open engine that still relies on shtty original copies of proprietary assets. Nobody cares about these corporate parasites anyway, so f’em…

  • I think it’ll get harder and harder to find ‘pure’ distros. For a while you can maybe rely on something similar to Gnu linux-libre kernel that removes proprietary blobs, or BSD, or Gnu Herd kernels etc, but linux-libre is already a pain if you need certain hw drivers, and eventually an anti-ai kernel will become crippled even worse, and it will become too hard to keep track of what kernels/parts of kernels is AI assisted code or not.

In the future, more and more new features will be from ai assisted code, and pretty soon, the anti-ai kernel will lose out to ai-assisted kernels in features, speed and soon stability (bug-finding etc).

The same goes for the rest of the distros that tries to avoid ai-assisted tools and code, and you/others will imho get completely swamped by this transformation. In fact, you will most certainly need an agent to keep constant track of this development.

I’m okay with AI, but I kind of feel for those trying to avoid it. Its hard enough just to avoid proprietary crap, and to me, avoiding ai-assists, is an even bigger mountain to climb. I do wish you all best of luck on that journey.

Ps. There ARE fully open models trained on fully libre with open libre data-sets, and for you - ethical data oriented - you could/should? probably accept that ‘non-pure’ situation, and use such an open llm to either maintain an ethical distro, or keep unethical ai-assist as low as you can get away with, for as long as you can.

Why tf do US/western kids always think its okay to monetise everything they touch !? Just make something that are free because it doesn’t cost you anything, because it was fun, or because you want to share with others, ffs ! This is the same annoying ideological mindset as new game-programming kids that have setup ad-servings in their games before they have a gameplay, assets or any other working code.

You managed to enshittify your entire ‘fun’ project before it was even released. I think that is a horrible, childish, capitalist mindset/project, and I don’t think sharing/open-source people would want to support your selfish for-profit kid-project - ‘fun’ or not…

Not 100% on what ‘stack-based’ means here, but if ‘stacking’ = ‘tiering’, you could use a normal filesystem like bcachefs that have tiered storage ?

You can declare different tier devices for speed, availability or what you prefer, and have different compression, managed cache, auto-move hot data from cold storage, cold data to cold storage, and what not…

However, I’ve never actually tried it, so I’m likely exaggerating the possibilities. I think ZFS have tiering too, but maybe a filesystem specialist can chime in with some advice.

Alternatively, if it doesn’t bother you, it could be a great task for a sota ai, to help/create/setup a simple fuse fs for your needs.

  • Just for the record, Linux can do with less swap-space than the memory you have, also for hibernation. The system doesn’t write every byte to swap, and it uses compression. With 32gb I would choose a default swapsize of ~10gb max, but test it first as it depends on the specific content of your ram, and usage patterns oc. However, its an instant time-saver during boot.

You should look into why so many people isn’t angry at Russia and are now blaming US. Your anger is exactly how US manufactures consent for all their wars, and it keeps you from discovering why people doesn’t hate Russia and even blame US/the west for starting it. They simply create a lynchmob - an echo-chamber - where people won’t listen to counter points bco anger. It works.

ALL US moral attacks on their ‘enemies’ (Ussr/Russia, N.Korea, China, Iran and oc ALL nations that wont be dictated how to live by the US elite) are such manufactured BS, and it all runs on the anger they create in people, and from there, they can do what they want in the name of ‘war against evil’. It will continue as long as people keep believing US and their controlled information bubble.

Give it a try, just read all the headlines in this list: What really happened in Ukraine?

If you couldn’t, or you still refuse the idea of foul play after reading - they got to you…
