1989 debut from this Finnish band playing a brutal thrash metal, nearing death metal. It’s violent, it’s insane, and it fucking rips on atmosphere and brutality alone. If I had to liken it to bands already well-known, I’d probably say a mix of Dark Angel and the early Sodom era. Also throw in some early Kreator for good measure lol. Linked is my favorite so far on repeated listens - a longer track with some twists and turns and great instrumentation.

Alright with this post I’m going to announce that I’m officially gonna slow down on uploads. After doing this nearly every day for a year, I’m just a tad tired lol.

This isn’t to say I’ll stop completely - I’ll do maybe three or four uploads a week as opposed to mostly seven or eight a week. I thank you all for any support you’ve shown me in this community and in others! Hope you all remain just as awesome and excellent as ever.

    I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the AMAZING contributions and for helping me to grow this place. I definitely couldn’t have done it alone. I think we both are feeling a little drained with it all now (though I have been for some time). It seems there just aren’t enough people yet on lemmy to fill niche communities :( .

    I’ve found many great songs and bands from your recommendations so I am super thankful for that as well. You definitely helped to broaden my horizons, especially with all the boundary pushing, which I’m really happy about, leading to all sorts of discoveries.

    I might as well take the time and inform people once again, in case you missed it before:

    Currently I aim to keep the community alive and uphold my current moderation duties. You will still see uploads from me if I find anything particularly interesting that I would like to share. That being said I will not be keeping a strict schedule of posting, meaning there may be times you might not hear from me. I will still aim to react to and engage with all content posted here from now on. If the community sees an increase in engagement further down the line, then I may resume my regular (heh) posting.

    I really appreciate all those who have posted and/or commented on posts. You all have helped shape this place into something pretty neat, a nice little corner of the internet, if you will. I especially appreciate the help of @Myr@lemmy.world who provided unfaltering support over the past year or so, going as far as to showing me up in the process ;) .

    I hope this place will continue to grow steadily over time, and as I’ve mentioned, I’m not going anywhere, just taking a break from regular posting. I apologise to those who enjoy the regular contributions, the motivation to encourage engagement just isn’t there any more. Thanks for a couple great years of top-tier metal and discussions!

    And wipe that smirk off your face, I ain’t retirin’! This madman ain’t going anywhere! I’ll see you wherever there’s many 0s being played in fast succession! 🤘
